Rodrigo Rendon has more than 20 years’ experience in the international oil and gas industry. For Schlumberger he worked offshore and onshore at the rig site as a field engineer. Later on he was a Management Consultant for Accenture in London defining and delivering several large-scale strategic programmes for BP. Over the last few years he has been leading the Global Business Development team at KCA Deutag, an international drilling and engineering contractor operating in Africa, Europe, Russia, the Middle East and the Caspian Sea. Initially he played a driving role in enhancing the competitive position aimed at securing several large new contracts jointly valued at more than $3bn. Recently, Rodrigo’s focus has been on divesting the company’s jack-up fleet, looking at M&A options and repositioning the value proposition in light of the current market conditions. He holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Monterrey Tech in Mexico and a masters degree in International Economics and Management (MBA) from Bocconi University in Milan.
