Samia held a number of technical, commercial, strategic and general management positions in Shell Upstream and Downstream. Samia was previously General Manager for Shell Base Chemicals Europe and more recently, she was VP Commercials & New Business Development for Europe & CIS for Shell Upstream.

She has worked in the UK, The Netherlands and US and has extensive experience in the Middle East, Africa and Asia. She holds a D.Phil. in Chemistry from Oxford University, further research in Cambridge University and the University of Massachusetts in the US. Samia is married and has two children; enjoys travel, mountains and reading.
