Steve has over 25 years of experience in upstream oil & gas. He started his career in operations with Schlumberger before joining Shell as an explorer working in a variety of international basins and jurisdictions, including Australia, Africa and Europe. Joining Nexen in 2006, Steve became Business Development Manager for Europe, expanding the company’s footprint into Norway and Poland while helping the company become the UK's largest oil producer. After the CNOOC takeover of Nexen, Steve became Vice President for Business Development, Commercial and Technical for Europe & Africa. Steve left CNOOC to found Tailwind in 2016
