Thomas Grand
Vice President – Energy, Process & Utilities industry, Dassault Systèmes
Thomas Grand was appointed Vice President, Energy, Process and Utilities Industry, Dassault Systèmes, in 2016.
In this role, he is driving the industry’s adoption of a new digital perspective of the entire business lifecycle — from innovation to recycling — with a vision to deliver sustainable life for the 21st century. He is responsible for helping power, process, chemical, utilities, oil and gas companies create more efficient and more sustainable materials, processes and facilities, using Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
Thomas Grand began his career with British Energy as a systems engineer at the Sizewell B nuclear power plant, then specialized in consulting and project management in the energy sector for IBM Business Consulting Services and AREVA. Following this, he joined the corporate marketing department at AREVA, where he was in charge of market analysis for nuclear and renewables, and later was appointed Vice President of strategic marketing.
Thomas Grand earned a master’s degree in energy management from the BI Norwegian Business School, IFP School in France and ESCP Europe Business School joint program, a bachelor’s degree in digital systems engineering from the University of the West of England and an associate’s degree in power engineering and industrial automation from Claude Bernard University in France.
