Tom Hickey is Chief Executive of Boru Energy, an oil and gas Investment vehicle supported by the Carlyle Group. Tom has been active in natural resources as adviser or executive for over 20 years  and  Chief Financial Officer and a director of Tullow Oil plc from 2000-08. During this time Tullow grew via a number of significant acquisitions including the $570 million acquisition of Energy Africa in 2004 and the $1.1 billion acquisition of Hardman Resources Limited in January 2007, and through exploration success, leading the establishment of new oil provinces in Ghana and Uganda and increasing production from 2,000 boepd to over 80,000 boepd.  Following his departure from Tullow, Tom was Chief Financial Officer of Petroceltic International Plc, an oil and gas business operating in the MENA region and Cartrawler, a privately business providing travel technology solutions to over 100 airlines and travel providers worldwide.  Tom is a Commerce graduate of University College Dublin and a Fellow of the Irish Institute of Chartered Accountants. He is also a non-executive director of Petroneft Resources Plc, and oil and gas company active in the FSU, and teamwork, a technology business headquartered in Ireland.
