Vance Scott

Vance is a senior leader in the AlixPartners Energy & Process Industries practice focused on Oil & Gas and Chemicals. For three decades he has driven transformational change, merger integration, cost reduction and strategic portfolio repositioning in E&P, Midstream, Downstream and Petrochemicals (E&P Development, Operations, G&A, Supply Chain and Procurement). Vance is known for rolling up his sleeves and working pragmatically with clients to deliver rapid results under pressure. He has worked extensively in North America, the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Latin America and Asia. Prior to AlixPartners, Vance led the EY & EY Parthenon O&G Transactions and Strategy practice for 4 years following 20 years at A.T. Kearney where he led their Global Oil & Gas practice and served on their Board. Vance worked for nearly a decade in industry as a Petroleum Engineer and Acquisitions Manager at Tenneco, Chevron and Greenhill Petroleum (Western Mining Corporation division). He holds an M.Sc. in Operations Engineering and an MBA from Northwestern University and a degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
