Vitalis holds a Master’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Mining University of Leoben, Austria and the Colorado School of Mines, USA. As a chartered Petroleum and Energy engineer with 16 years’ experience in the Oil Industry. Prior to his assignment in July 2017 as the Country Manager for Senegal, Vitalis was the Reservoir Engineering Manager for Africa Exploration. Before joining CNOOC-Nexen in 2014, Vitalis worked for BP, OMV and as an Engineering Consultant with focus in West Africa, working on projects in Europe and Africa (with focus on Nigeria, Cameroon, Congo, Gabon and Chad). Vitalis relocated to Dakar with his wife and 3 children in January 2018.
