The Council Awards programme represents a global benchmark of excellence for those working in our industry. The programme offers both regional and international recognition for those working in the energy industry.

The Aim

The Council Awards programme honours and recognises those in our industry, who have created companies, been at the heart of frontier plays and some of the worlds largest discoveries. These people and their businesses have grown economies, created employment and encouraged thousands.

Hall of Fame

The Council Awards programme has recognised more than 300 outstanding individuals and their companies since their inception. Meet some of the individual winners that we have been proud to celebrate with.

Hundreds of judges take part each year in our selection process. The process remains 100% independent, impartial and with no payment by any organisation or outside individual. The decisions made by our global and regional judging panels are final. The judges can withhold the right to give awards in categories where the required standard has not been met (this having only happened once previously). We may use certain outside agencies to determine the integrity of our awards, to ensure they remain one of the pinnacle achievements within the energy sector.
