Greg Hammond is a Partner and Head of International Oil & Gas at Eversheds Sutherland, a leading global law firm.
He represents parties in major corporate finance transactions in the UK and internationally – including M&A, private equity, equity capital markets and joint ventures/projects. He regularly advises on matters relating to the energy industry (including oil & gas) and has represented governments, public and private corporations, private equity houses, hedge funds, banks and multilateral agencies.
Over a period of more than 25 years, he has advised on oil & gas projects in most African countries – across upstream, midstream and downstream.
He is regularly listed in the world’s leading legal directories (including Chambers Global, Chambers UK and Legal 500 UK) for each of energy/natural resources, M&A, private equity and/or equity capital markets matters. He is also highly recommended in the PLC Private Equity Handbook and Who’s Who Energy Lawyers.
He is (i) a past Chairman of the African Sub-committee of AIPN; (ii) a member of the Oil & Gas Sector Table of the Iraqi-British Business Council; (iii) an original member of the Legal Advisory Task Force to the Energy Charter Secretariat in Brussels; and (iv) a member of the AIPN Europe Regional Chapter Committee.
Greg is joining the 2019 Awards of Excellence Judging Panel. The panel will be meeting on Friday 18 October to review, deliberate, discuss and shortlist the nominations received from our global network.
