
María Fernanda Suárez Londoño

María Fernanda Suárez Londoño has more than 20 years of experience in the public and private sectors. Before assuming as Minister of Mining and Energy, she held the Vice Presidency of Strategy and Finance of Ecopetrol, leading from that position an efficiency plan that positioned Ecopetrol as one of the most profitable and resilient companies in the Colombian oil & gas sector.
Mrs. Suarez Londoño was also Public Credit Manager at the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit of Colombia and Chief Investment Officer at the pension fund Porvenir. She has also worked in high-level positions at Citibank, ABN AMRO and Bank of America and she has served as a member on the board of directors of ISA, Isagen, Cenit and Ocensa.
Mrs. Suarez holds a degree in business administration from Colegio de Estudios Superiores de Administración – CESA and a master's degree in public management from Georgetown University”
