Xiaoping Yang

President of BP China, and Chairman of BP China Holdings

MBA, University of Chicago; PhD in Chemical Engineering, Purdue University. 1990, Yang Xiaoping joined BP in the US; has accumulated extensive business insights and industry experience on a number of managerial roles in areas of technology, environment and safety, M&A, commercial and finance; 2004, returned to China and has since held various executive roles within the petrochemical business, including HR, planning, technical and quality.

Dr. Yang is a board member of the China Business Council for Sustainable Development (CBCSD), a committee member of EV100 China, an executive advisory board member of Foreign Investment Council of China Petroleum Chemical Industry Federation (CPCIF), a member of the executive committee of the British Chamber of Commerce in China (BCCC), an opted-board member of the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC), Chairman’s Circle of AmCham China, an advisory council member of European Chamber of Commerce China.  She is also an advisory board member of Tsinghua University Clean Energy Center and an executive advisory board member for East China University of Science and Technology.

Dr. Yang actively advocates Diversity and Inclusion. Dr. Yang is the committee member of BP Women International Network (BPWIN), and supports the leadership development of female employees in China. Besides, Dr. Yang participated women in business leadership activities of UN Women, British Embassy in China, Schwarzman College of Tsinghua University, British Chamber of Commerce in China and AmCham China.
