For those that may be less familiar with Oliver Wyman, can you tell us a little bit about what Oliver Wyman does and the company’s history on the North American continent?

Oliver Wyman is a strategy consulting firm that helps clients solve their most complex problems around the world with offices in Europe, the Americas, Australia, and Asia.

What is your role at Oliver Wyman?

I am a partner in the Global Energy practice, I co-lead our Americas Oil and Gas practice and lead our operations practice in the energy sector.

Can you tell us a little bit about Oliver Wyman’s strategic goals and focus for the next 12 months?

Our purpose is to provide our clients with the highest quality service and be known for providing them with the greatest possible impact.

Tell us a bit about the panel that you are speaking on and why you think this is an important topic to discuss and debate?

M&A and Joint Ventures are key to ensuring the development of large-scale oil and gas resources as they allow for a better allocation of technology, capital and risks. Getting them right is incredibly difficult as it requires the alignment of multiple variables in order to make them successful: strategic intent and contributions, roles and responsibilities of the parties, value and cultural alignment, etc.

What other key insights are you looking forward to hearing about at the 10^th North America Assembly?

• Geopolitical and economic trends that impact the O&G business in the Americas
• Evolution of Oil and Gas supply sources in the Americas and their competitiveness with other worldwide resources
• Change in the relationship between independents, NOC and multi-nationals as the Americas O&G resources continue to be developed and play a key role as the marginal yet most secure barrel in the portfolio.

Is there anything else that you would like to share with industry peers pertaining to the work that you are currently doing in North America and/ or globally?
