Adapting to Change: Transformations in the Energy Investor Landscape
Portfolio managers are contending with restricted access to capital, a predicament with far-reaching consequences for supply, demand dynamics, and commodity pricing. Over the past two years, the perception of fossil fuels has shifted, partly influenced by the Russia/Ukraine conflict, highlighting the importance of sustainable and secure energy. LP expectations have shifted, now favoring a more selective approach that requires underwriting at specific break-even prices and places greater emphasis on a proven track record.
Cracking the Code: the Quest for Financial Clairty Admist the Energy Transition
While the demand for oil and gas endures, the imperative is to supply it with the lowest cost and lowest GHG intensity. The challenge lies in crafting a methodology that harmonizes scientific rigor and commercial viability. It underscores the need for a clearer roadmap and a balanced approach to aligning energy transition goals with financial viability.
Exploring Investment Opportunities: The Evolving Carbon Capture and Utilization Landscape
CCUS continues to capture the interest of growth investors, as certain companies make strides toward achieving commercial-scale operations. Amid evolving dynamics, the core challenge is delivering successful CCUS projects to later-stage investors, requiring innovative partnerships and robust risk management.
