by Energy Council | Jan 12, 2023
During the latest episode of investor insights, we are joined by Jake Barnett & Patrick Peura, Co-Leads for the UN-Convened Net-Zero Asset Owner Alliance, who discuss the importance of Oil & Gas companies having a holistic vision of what they need to look like to be successful in a transitioning world if they are to continue to have the ability to raise capital. They also talk us through the three categories of risk for why we need to be addressing climate change, giving us an insight into why pension & insurance funds care about climate change, and the financial risks that climate change poses to investment portfolios.
“We need to see and support a transition to a sustainable global economy in order to achieve the financial returns that our participants and institutional investors are reliant upon.”
