by Energy Council | Aug 02, 2022

During this episode, Christian shares BlackRock’s view on the role of natural gas in the energy mix and the role that hydrocarbon companies can play in the energy transition. He also comments on the types of financing available for fossil fuel projects and the types of investment opportunities out there that can contribute to energy security in Europe.

“Natural gas enables more renewables with 24/7 availability; for example, through gas peaking plants that fill the gaps when the sun isn't shining and the wind isn't blowing.”

“Natural gas is important, both as part of the energy transition, but also from an energy security supply perspective”

“The leaders of yesterday… some of them are also the leaders of tomorrow”
