by Energy Council | Jul 5, 2022

In this opening episode of the series, we hear from Dan Pickering, Founder & Chief Investment Officer at Pickering Energy Partners on current investor appetite for energy investment following a period of sustained higher oil prices and rising pressures to improve energy security & affordability.

“Interest in the sector is definitely picking back up”

“I think where we're headed over the next two years is that zero production growth is going to move to 3-5%”

“Investors will become a little less afraid of that outcome if we have a slow adjustment period and so I think don't expect big changes fast unless there's some sort of initiative”
