Energy Council Jakarta 2026: A Landmark Gathering for Indonesia’s Energy Future

JAKARTA – On 22 April, the first-ever Energy Council Jakarta brought together a powerful cross section of Indonesia’s energy community, over 250 senior operators, investors, policymakers, technology leaders, and international partners, for a day of strategic dialogue on the country’s investment outlook, gas market evolution, and readiness for large scale CCS deployment.

Supported by SKK Migas, the forum marked a significant milestone in the Energy Council’s APAC Roadshow, underscoring Indonesia’s position as one of the region’s most important long term energy markets.

5. Gas Market Evolution & Domestic Demand

Badak LNG, SKK Migas, and Accenture explored the future of Indonesia’s gas market, LNG infrastructure, pricing mechanisms, and the role of gas in supporting industrial growth and the energy transition.

6. CCS Momentum Accelerating

Discussions with SKK Migas and the Indonesia CCS Centre highlighted the country’s ambition to become a regional CCS hub, supported by early pilot projects and evolving regulatory frameworks.

7. Vision 2030: Leadership, Talent & Innovation

The final panel looked ahead to Indonesia’s long‑term energy mix, the leadership required to drive transformation, and the talent needed to secure energy security and sustainability through 2030 and beyond.
